Hello, my name
is Eileen Wiviott.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I am a Unitarian Universalist minister serving our movement in spirit, radical inclusion, and justice making.

Unitarian Universalism is a way of moving through the world with love and power.
The world needs the kind of transformative and beloved community we can create together.

A little about me

"Rev. Eileen’s connection with people is very authentic and welcoming, and she appreciates the importance of hospitality as a practice for everyone, everywhere. She has the skills and talents to be an excellent Senior Minister and is encouraged to balance the demands of that role with her caring approach with congregants and commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion."

My life has been profoundly and beautifully transformed by Unitarian Universalist community and it fills me with joy each time someone discovers our inclusive, life-changing religious movement.

I am a community builder and a passionate Unitarian Universalist. I am called to congregational ministry because I know that, through our faith communities, progressive values are rooted in power and given wings. Through this movement, we can transform the world and our lives.

I discovered Unitarian Universalism in 2001 at the Unitarian Church of Evanston and heard the call to ministry through the voices of many members who experienced me as a minister and nurtured my leadership. I became the Membership Director in 2007 and then the Social Action Coordinator in 2010. I graduated from Meadville Lombard Theological School in May 2017. That June, UCE ordained me and then hired me as the Assistant Minister. In May 2019, I became the Acting Senior Minister.

My husband, David, and I along with our children, Mable and Grey, live in Skokie, Illinois with our dogs, Ozzie and Sully.
